The CSI St, Mark’s Church Choir has been a vital part of our Church since the time of its inception. The Choir has around 15 singers, mainly youngsters. Our singers are gifted with melody in their hearts, clarity in their tones and expression in their singing. The team has a combination of voices comprising of Sopranos, Altos, Tenors and Basses. The choir members easily learn new tunes and orchestrate well with the Church Organist.
The Church Choir make our Services very lively. Their singing soothes the mind, refreshes the soul and makes us feel the presence of God. They strive hard to glorify God through their God-given talents by learning and giving special numbers both in Tamil and English on all special occasions and festive seasons. Our Choir is praised by all our visitors including the Bishops of our Diocese. They enthusiastically participate in Singing Competitions held by various churches of the Diocese and proudly bag prizes wherever they go.
The Choir meets every Saturdays at 7 p.m. in the Church premises for a concentrated practice session under the able leadership of our Choir Master & Organist.
As Psalm 47:6 says, “Sing praises to God, sing praises”, may our Choir keeping singing praises to our Almighty God!
